Sculpting activewear is designed to hug your shape, so it will feel firmer than a regular gym top or loose trackpants. That's the point: the right amount of compression smooths, lifts and holds everything in place while you move. But snug and uncomfortable are not the same thing. Here's how to know you've found the right fit.
1. It should feel like a firm hug
When you first put on a sculpting set or jumpsuit, it should feel close to the body all over, with no loose fabric at the waist, hips or thighs. You should still be able to breathe deeply, bend and squat without the fabric digging in.
2. Check the waistband
A high-waisted band should sit flat and stay put. If it rolls down when you bend, try a size down. If it leaves deep red marks or pinches, size up.
3. Do the squat test
Squat down in front of a mirror in good light. The fabric shouldn't go see-through, and the leggings shouldn't slip down at the back. If they do, the size is too big or too small.
4. Look for smooth lines
Contour seams should follow your curves, not cut across them. Wrinkling at the knees or ankles usually means the length or size isn't right.
5. Give it a wear or two
Stretch fabrics relax slightly with body heat, so a set that feels very snug at first will often settle in after the first wear.
Still not sure?
Check our size guide and measure your waist and hips before ordering. If you're between sizes, size up for comfort or down for more hold. You can also email us at support@satursculpt.com and we'll help you choose.
